Lost Tribe Sound This is one of my favorite works from Trepaneringsritualen. While I'm relatively new to related works in the industrial ritual scene, I've dug through quite a few of them and this one is a stand out. Evoking a sense of isolation and dread with little need for parlor tricks, while still remaining cathartic and listenable. Brutish blackened stomps, clanking sluggish percussion, the blood sacrifice of kings... what more can you ask for.

Konung Dómaldr Vid Upsala Hängd first appeared as a limited edition cassette on Merz in 2013 and in extended form on an equally limited 12” on In Solace Publishing in 2015. The CD edition not only presents the three original songs in their full-length form for the first time but further extends the working into a full-length album with the inclusion of two songs previously only available on obscure online compilations.

After nukes devour populations and environs some places still intact look beautifully abandoned as Chernobyl, it may have the feeling of Nordvargr's "Untitled Navigations Revisited". It does create an ambience like long-abandoned arcades (RIP Benjamin) and a lost world mapped onto ours. hello swirl
